Alex Johnson

Founder & Creative Director

Alex is passionate about socio-environmental innovation. His work bridges creativity and cause, equipping impact-driven brands with the tools to spark momentum and surge impact. He brings a unique blend of design thinking, communication strategy, and values-driven leadership rooted in combatting climate change.

Alex currently serves on the board of Sustain Rockford, mentors refugees and asylees through MENTEE, volunteers with Nature at the Confluence and Urban Rivers, and has volunteered as Animation Mentor & Creative Director at ClimateScience and a mentor with the Climate Reality Project.

Alex holds a B.A. in Graphic Design, is earning his Executive MBA from Quantic School of Technology and Business, is an ISSP Sustainability Excellence Associate, and is a trained mentor with the Climate Reality Leadership Corps. Prior to launching The Disruption Society, Alex served as Creative Director for a nonprofit in Madison. Outside of work you might see him performing on stage at Starlight Theater in Rockford, IL, or gigging around town.
