Getty Conservation Institute Technical Series

We partnered with the Getty Conservation Institute to create an animated video demonstrating their innovative Acoustic Emissions Monitoring (AE) technique, which detects microscopic structural changes in artworks to aid early conservation efforts.

Challenges:
Communicating complex scientific content clearly and engagingly required close collaboration with experts to balance artistic expression with scientific accuracy.

Outcome:
The video became part of GCI’s educational toolkit, raising awareness of AE’s potential to transform preventive conservation practices.

This project marks the beginning of an ongoing collaboration to develop a series of animated videos that showcase cutting-edge conservation techniques.
